Self-Esteem is one of those things in life that you either have a lot of (usually too much) or little to none at all. This post is for the people who may need a little Oomph to get them going. Boost Your Self-Esteem!
- Forget Past Mistakes/Forgive Yourself
None of us can change the past, that is just a matter of fact, but that doesn’t mean that we all still have to be burdened by our mistakes. Let the past go and move on towards a better life. All you have is today, yesterday doesn’t matter and no one knows what tomorrow holds, so live in the present.
2. Give Yourself A Smile
Go smile at yourself in the mirror, and be kind to yourself in general. Being hard on yourself serves only one purpose, and that is to plague yourself with thoughts of what you “should have done” or “shouldn’t have done”. Don’t be so up-tight when it comes to your mistakes.
3. Celebrate Your Small Victories
Celebrate little things such as feeling healthy today, or finding a new hobby. Tell someone how happy you are about those small things. Be proud of your progress so far. You’ve earned it.
4. Splurge, I Mean Invest In Yourself
Use your time and money and go do something that makes you feel accomplished and vibrant, such as getting a mani-pedi or buying that new book that you want. Find things that improve your mind, body and soul and splurge on them.
5. Visualize Yourself Succeeding.
Everyone has a secret dream in their head. Something your heart yearns for? Or something you have always wanted to do? Take some time and visualize yourself doing that thing. Let your heart race and your mind flutter. You deserve to follow your dreams and accomplish anything you chose! 🙂
