Introverts UNITE! We are a different kind of special. Here are some problems that most introverts run into throughout their lives. Introvert Problems! Ugh!
- Feeling Out Of Place
In the modern world many introverts can tend to feel out of place. Un-interested in the daily fast-paced hustle bustle of the world, introverts can tend to feel left out by the world.
2. Involuntary Daydreaming
Most introverts will experience involuntary daydreaming. They can get lost in thought so easily that sometimes it is hard to hold a conversation with one. Don’t blame them when they drift off into space! They are hard-wired that way.
3. Being Regarded As Rude Or Stuck Up
One of the most common occurrences when someone first meets an introvert is to think that they are stuck-up or that they think they are better that everyone else. The complete opposite is true. Introverts come across this way because most of them are very private. Don’t expect an introvert to just walk up to you and start a conversation! (If they do, either A. They want to Kill you OR B. They want to Kiss you.)
4. Overthinking EVERYTHING
Said the wrong word in a conversation? Spilt something on your crush? Embarrassed yourself? No biggie right? WRONG! Introverts will replay embarrassing things that happen to them thousands of times in their heads before they let it go, usually to be replaced by another embarrassing situation. This is one of an Introverts biggest flaws, some can get so trapped within their mind it’s hard to pull them back to reality.
5. “Why Are You So Shy?”
This question will be relentlessly launched at an introvert in social situations, such as at a party or family reunion. Introverts aren’t shy, they’re introverts. The reason why they haven’t said anything to you is probably because THEY DON”T HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY TO YOU! Introverts hate small talk and will avoid it by any means necessary.
6. Absolutely Hate Ordering Food
It was cute when you were a kid, you would whisper to your mom that you want her to order for you, but now it isn’t all that cute. Introverts hate interacting with waiters/store clerks because they hate improvising what they are going to say. It freaks them out! They would much rather have a plan of action and know exactly what they are going to say. This is likely to branch out from the social anxiety that most introverts experience.
7. Won’t Ask For Help
Introverts will rarely ask for help from anyone for anything because they do not want to burden other people with their problems. Their nightmare is having to ask for help in a public place, such as needing help at self-checkout. You should hear our hearts drop when our checkout stands make that god-awful noise and start to blink and everyone stares at us.
8. Instant Heart Attack Whenever The Phone Rings
When introverts are faced with such an unorganized task, such as answering the phone or the door, they tend to freeze and their heart will jump into their throat. Hello social anxiety, nice to see you again!
9. Sensory Overload
Most introverts are prone to sensory overload. Sensory overload occurs when too much information/observations hit someone at one time. It can stem from loud noises, too many people talking at once, etc. When sensory overload occurs, and introvert will shut down until they have had enough time to recover.
10. School Is HELL
Let me tell you folks, an extrovert planned our educational system 100%. (An introvert would have made it 100x better, but that is besides the point). Having to interact with so many different people/things in one day leaves many introverts tired/stressed. COMMENT IF YOU THINK THERE SHOULD BE A SCHOOL FOR INTROVERTS!
11. We Actually Like People
Shocker huh? We love interacting with people, just not with everyone, a select group of friends does introverts just fine, and even then an introvert will become drained after a while and have to go recuperate. Most introverts will put up a facade that screams “I don’t like people” but once you push past that, we are very sociable people.
12. We Miss Out
Introverts can sometimes be self-sabotaging. It is very hard for most introverts to make life decisions because they can see good and bad to every situation. This can lead to missed opportunities.
